Scholarships
CEL offers scholarships through the Frances Lowers and WLC Alumnae Scholarship Fund. There are partial scholarships available to encourage the participation of those who otherwise would not be able to afford our offerings.
Persons interested in scholarship support are asked to submit a letter to Center for Emerging Leadership describing:
- Your leadership experience
- Why you want to attend the program
- How you would apply yourlearning
- Why you are seeking financial support and how much
- What non-monetary contributions (volunteer time, skills, other resources) you could offer in return for scholarship support
The Frances Lowers and WLC Alumnae
Scholarship Fund
We are grateful to the alumnae who are stepping forward to support women who are unable to afford the cost of joining WLC. Alice Murray established the Frances Lowers Scholarship Fund in honor of her mother. Nancy Seleski added the WLC Alumnae portion to the Scholarship Fund. Nancy, Paula Schlotfeldt and many others continue this support. This fund enables the participation of those who otherwise would not be able to afford our offerings. Scholarship dollars also help us to allow for participants to pay over time in order to participate when they need it most.
Your contributions to our scholarship fund are greatly appreciated. Tax-deductible contributions can be made out to CEL and mailed to:
CEL, PO Box 307, Lutsen, MN 55612
Please note on the check memo line or in your PayPal contribution that this is for scholarships.
We also greatly appreciate donations for our ongoing program
development.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Women's Leadership Community Retreat Series in 2005 was such a life-changing experience that I wanted to find a way to give back some of the benefit I received. So, I decided to sponsor a WLC attendee each year. Now I not only continue to receive the benefit of my WLC experience, but in addition, I receive the benefit of knowing that I am making it possible for more women to experience this life-changing gift. To make the experience of giving back available to all WLC Alumnae, I started an Alumnae Scholarship Fund. - Nancy Seleski
